LIFESTYLE NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY

Capturing the beautiful season of welcoming your baby home.

A woman and man share a close, intimate moment holding a newborn baby, smiling and looking at the baby lovingly.

The Experience

A Peaceful Season Worth Remembering

The newborn season can feel a little overwhelming, but it’s also such a special and peaceful time for a family.

Life slows down for a while. The outside world fades a bit, and your days start to revolve around being at home, holding your baby, and getting to know this new little person.

That’s the season I love to capture.

These sessions aren’t about perfectly posed babies or a perfectly clean house. Your baby doesn’t have to sleep the whole time, and siblings definitely don’t have to sit still.

My hope is that when you look back at these photos years from now, you’ll remember what this season actually felt like.

Quiet moments on the couch.

The sweetness of those early days, even in the middle of the sleep deprivation.

Because this season passes quickly, but the feeling of it is something worth remembering.

When I arrive, I’ll take a few minutes to find the best natural light. Most sessions only use a few cozy spots like the nursery, your bed, the couch, or a space near a window.

Many parents worry their house needs to be perfectly clean, but it truly doesn’t. This season of life is meant to be lived in. All we need is a couple small areas we can clear off to create beautiful moments.

Sessions are relaxed and move at your baby’s pace. Feeding, rocking, and comforting your baby are all part of the process, and those quiet moments often become some of the sweetest photos.

If older siblings are involved, they’re welcome to come and go. Meeting a new baby is a big transition for them too, and we keep things flexible so everyone feels comfortable.

Most sessions last about 1–2 hours, but there’s no rush. The goal is simply to capture this season in a way that feels natural for your family.

A Helpful Tip

If family or friends come to visit, you can always give them a small “mission” to help tidy a space while you focus on your baby.

Hi, I’m Vanessa, the photographer behind You & I Creative Co.

As a mom myself, I know how equally sweet and overwhelming the newborn season can be. Those early days at home are full of beautiful moments, but they can also blur together through the lack of sleep.

That’s why I love capturing this season for families.

I’ve been photographing families since 2018, and I’m drawn to the quiet, real-life moments that tell the story of welcoming a new baby into your home.

During sessions, my goal is to bring a calm and patient presence so no one feels rushed or overwhelmed. Babies need breaks, siblings need time to warm up, and parents deserve to enjoy the moment.

Of course, I love photographing those tiny newborn details, but what really makes these sessions special is seeing the love between everyone in the family. The way a parent looks at their baby, the curiosity of siblings, and the quiet connection that fills the room.

Those are the moments that make this season unforgettable.

Vanessa made it so easy, stress-free, and fun. The whole family enjoyed the experience!
